Summer Camps at

RockMeadow Equestrian Center

Registration for Summer Camp 2026 opens on Saturday, Jan 24 at 10am!

RockMeadow Equestrian Center is so excited to kick off another season of horseback riding Summer Camps. Summer Camps at RockMeadow teach children ages 5-17 the foundation of horse safety, horse care, horsemanship and of course how to ride! Horseback riding encourages kids to become independent, self-confident, and responsible. We provide a safe and fun learning environment for kids to enjoy learning about horses all summer long!

Summer 2026 Update

This year, RockMeadow has added another option to our Summer Camp Program!

We will now have 2 options for Camp:

Junior Camp for ages 5-10 (registration opens Jan 24)

A full day camp from 9:30am-3:30pm, this camp will be our classic camp fun! Filled with horse lessons, crafts, activities and of course riding time!

Senior Camp for ages 10-17 (registration opens Feb)

A half day camp from 9am-12pm, this camp will be geared towards interested riders who want to concentrate on the focused horse time. This camp will condense the learning from out Intro 101/102 classes. Geared more for older kids who want to concentrate on getting ready for weekly riding lessons.

Learn all about horses!

Campers will learn how to safely; lead, groom, saddle up, and of course, ride a horse! Half of each day will be spent working with the horses and each camper will have a riding lesson during that time. They will learn how to properly get on and off horse, keep their balance, stop/go, steer, and other fundamental skills of riding. They will also learn basic horsemanship and how to care for a horse. At the end of every week, they will participate in a Camp Horse Show to show off their skills — we encourage family and friends to attend!

Arts and Crafts and Fun!

Campers will participate in a number of fun activities while not on horseback. Half of every day will be spent doing horsey arts and crafts as well as playing horsey games. Campers will learn about different colors and markings, breeds of horses, horse parts, and all sorts of other related information. They will participate in various horse care activities around the farm and learn about barn safety and care, and enjoy our beautiful farm on the Sammamish Plateau.

We hope you can join us this summer!
